Ayo! Kita Bicara HIV & AIDS
The BaliSpirit Festival Outreach Program, AYO! Kita Bicara HlV & AlDS (Hey! Let’s Talk About HlV & AlDS), is an ongoing educational campaign supported by
partnerships with education & healthcare nonprofits. Lt was founded to engage Balinese youth in conversations & education about the growing epidemic of HlV & AlDS. Since 2008, BaliSpirit Festival has hosted a number of awareness and charity concerts, featuring such national music activists as Ras Muhamad and internationally renowned peace troubadours like Michael Franti. The Festival hosts an annual HlV & AlDS Awareness Concert in Ubud for the local community, which was attended by over 10,000 in 2012. Together with Desa Seni, BaliSpirit Festival also hosts an annual Yogathon to benefit the Ayo! Bali ReGreen Program of BaliSpirit Festival

In 2011, BaliSpirit Festival is in partner with Yayasan Bambu Lingkungan ( Enviroment Bamboo Foundation -EBF) to encourage reforestation and community development in the arid area of Ban Village in East Bali. The project leads to Bali ReGreen launching, an environment act and awareness campaign dedicated to the ecological recovery in Bali.

Bali ReGreen Pilot Project (2011 – 2013): Bamboo Reforestation

Bali ReGreen provides resources and volunteers support in the process of bamboo reforestation by encouraging the reforestation activity in Bali. Bamboos to be planted will provide “reservation belt”: a barrier shield which help to control erosion and watershed, sun, and wind shield in order to revitalize the ecology, and finally, to help the local villages economic life. Bamboo Reforestation Project has successfully launched in partner with Environment Bamboo Foundation in Ban Village, 2011-2012, and to be expanded to Songan B Village, Bangli Kintamani on 2013.
